Syndactyly is a congenital condition in which a child is born with fused fingers and/or toes. Polydactyly is a congenital condition in which a child is born with duplicate fingers and/or toes. Both conditions present with a variety of skin and bone involvement. Separation of fused digits or removal of extra digits is done to improve a patient’s function and appearance.
