How does NeoGraft work?

NeoGraft automates the Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) hair transplantation process. Using the NeoGraft device, we are able to quickly and gently extract individual hair follicles from the back of your head, where hair is naturally fuller and healthier. These individual follicle units are then strategically and meticulously transplanted into thinning areas.

Traditionally, FUE hair transplantation required a surgeon to manually remove hair follicles and prep them for transplantation. By automating the process, NeoGraft helps reduce overall procedure time, provide more consistent results, and improve the take-rate of the transplanted follicles.

Does NeoGraft hurt?

NeoGraft is performed in the office with local anesthesia to ensure your comfort. For most patients, the injection of local anesthesia is the most uncomfortable part of the procedure. You should not feel the actual transplantation process outside of a bit of pressure.

After your procedure, it’s normal for the areas of extraction and implantation to feel tender for a few days, though pain medication should take the edge off so you can be comfortable.

What is recovery after NeoGraft like?

Typically, recovery after NeoGraft is speedier than other hair transplant techniques. For the first few days after your procedure, it’s normal to have some swelling and sensitivity. There will be small scabs that develop around each extraction site and recipient site, which will flake off in around four to five days.

You will need to rest for the first two or three days and avoid strenuous physical activity, such as exercise, for about two weeks. After the first three days, you can return to work and resume non-strenuous activities, like driving.

When will I see results after NeoGraft?

You will begin seeing new hair growth after three to four months, though it can take a year or so for final results to appear. While this seems like a long process, good things come to those who wait—and a fuller head of natural hair growth takes a bit of time.
